Hookers Club – stash busters fall 2010
Autumn leaves…not yet
but thoughts of Locker Hooked leaves are piling up
With the new brochure published,
we are all excited and thinking about the fall classes.
I have been researching ideas and free patterns from
with whom I was lucky to take a work shop last year.
Currently, I am especially excited about her shaped ornaments, embellishments, and wall hangings.
” Trace the shape you would like and secure the edges of the canvas with a bead of glue. Use Quick Grip adhesive then finish the edges by whip stitching with ribbon or fabric strips and locker hook the shape as desired.
I also want to try her recommendation for fun combinations and
Hooking Lofty Rugs
” by doubling up your locking medium. Rugs will feel thicker and loftier. Just thread an extra long strand of locking twine or yarn and leave the double strand in when you lock your loops. Use heavier twine or yarn and heavier fabric to achieve the thickness and weight you prefer. “
There will be SOOO much to explore and share in the Hooker’s Club!
Arley’s first Hookers Club ( FREE) meeting will be on September 17
and will focus on creating a locker hook pot holder.
Quick , easy successful and fun.
