Desert Quiltshop, Tubac Arizona

Posted in Special Events tagged at 8:24 am by satinmoon

South of Tucson

in the Sonoran desert

is the tiny artist town  of Tubac

festooned with chiles

on fabulous adobe buildings

redolent with  history

and abounding  with bright colours that  stimulate quilters

we found one charming shop that acts as a gallery and museum

Quilts Limited

quilts beckoned from the outside

Inside we found sparkles

dazzling Navajo inspired quilts

glowing with desert intensity

and shadow

lovely traditional quilts

and antique treasures

vibrant Mexican Molas

absolutely singing

with the joy of the sunbelt

inspiring all art forms

including the Fimo jewelry

and a gently moon to remind me of home
